The BGTT has evolved from the Hutt Theatre School closing in 2012.
With the expansion of Drama study as a recognised and legitimate subject in schools and without the formidable energy of Berwyn to drive the school in Lower Hutt, her family decided to convert the school's assets into an informal trust to offer funding grants to talented actors.
Berwyn's passion and commitment to providing theatre training and experience to the next generation can continue. - This is her legacy.
